Renovated French Village House

Interior designer Eva Gnaedinger brought life back to this village house located between Avignon and Uzes in France. Most of its original features like the stone and beams, some of the walls and the staircase have been kept. A mixture of rustic, French and modern styles were used.<br /><br /><img alt="A house of village between Avignon and Uzès ..." id="diaporama_pict" src="http://www.cotemaison.fr/imgs/41/119.jpg" style="width: 550px; height: 367px;" /><br /><br /><img alt="A large kitchen with cement floor that preserves a matt" id="diaporama_pict" src="http://www.cotemaison.fr/imgs/41/145.jpg" style="width: 550px; height: 364px;" /><br /><br /><img alt="Workplan and stone sink Tavel" id="diaporama_pict" src="http://www.cotemaison.fr/imgs/41/147.jpg" /><img alt="View on the side dining" id="diaporama_pict" src="http://www.cotemaison.fr/imgs/41/143.jpg" /><br /><br /><img alt="Each room has its own style ..." id="diaporama_pict" src="http://www.cotemaison.fr/imgs/41/137.jpg" style="width: 552px; height: 368px;" /><br /><br /><img alt="Chamber of Snow White ..." id="diaporama_pict" src="http://www.cotemaison.fr/imgs/41/139.jpg" /><img alt="A room in the rough" id="diaporama_pict" src="http://www.cotemaison.fr/imgs/41/131.jpg" /><br />Bare walls in the master bedroom. Interior Designer Jordi Vayreda

A two level industrial space was transformed into a home by Spanish designer Jordi Vayreda. Modern lines, dashes of pink, green and grey on a white background give this house a casual and youthful feeling.<br /><br /><img name="foto" src="http://www.micasarevista.com/casas/reformadas/reformadas41/reformadas41_1g.jpg" style="width: 651px; height: 457px;" /><br />Open plan for the living room, dining room and kitchen.<br /><br /><img name="foto" src="http://www.micasarevista.com/casas/reformadas/reformadas41/reformadas41_2g.jpg" /><br />The glass and chrome side table was designed by Eileen Grey. Its height can be adjusted.<br /><br /><img name="foto" src="http://www.micasarevista.com/casas/reformadas/reformadas41/reformadas41_3g.jpg" /><br />Close up of the sofa's armrest. Quite a space saver (not that this house lacks space) it doubles as extra storage space for books.<br /><br /><img name="foto" src="http://www.micasarevista.com/casas/reformadas/reformadas41/reformadas41_4g.jpg" style="width: 650px; height: 790px;" /><br /><br /><img name="foto" src="http://www.micasarevista.com/casas/reformadas/reformadas41/reformadas41_5g.jpg" style="width: 648px; height: 518px;" /><br /><br /><img name="foto" src="http://www.micasarevista.com/casas/reformadas/reformadas41/reformadas41_7g.jpg" /><br /><br /><img name="foto" src="http://www.micasarevista.com/casas/reformadas/reformadas41/reformadas41_8g.jpg" style="width: 650px; height: 520px;" /><br /><br /><img name="foto" src="http://www.micasarevista.com/casas/reformadas/reformadas41/reformadas41_9g.jpg" /><br />A glass pane at the top of the wall in the master bedroom allows more light in.<br /><br /><img name="foto" src="http://www.micasarevista.com/casas/reformadas/reformadas41/reformadas41_10g.jpg" /><br /><br /><br /><img name="foto" src="http://www.micasarevista.com/casas/reformadas/reformadas41/reformadas41_11g.jpg" /><br />A nice detail: flowers in a vase in a rustic bag.<br /><br />All images from <a href="http://www.micasarevista.com/">here</a>.

Mountain House With a French Flair

This French style house is in Spain. To be more precise it is in Cerdanya which is a small region in northern Catalonia, in the Pyrenees, on the border of Catalonia with France and Andorra. Interior designer Asun Anto used a very soft palette (I know one or two of you who would like to add a punch of colour here!) with whites, greys and brown in the woodwork. Come and see if you like it!<br /><br /><br /><img src="http://www.elmueble.com/var/elmueble/storage/images/casas/pocos-metros/aire-frances-en-la-montana/ventanas-con-efecto-pictorico/galeria-salon-comedor/salon-1/148595-1-esl-ES/Salon-1_large.jpg" style="width: 475px; height: 560px;" /><br />Bergère style chairs in the sitting area.<br /><br /><img src="http://www.elmueble.com/var/elmueble/storage/images/casas/pocos-metros/aire-frances-en-la-montana/ventanas-con-efecto-pictorico/galeria-salon-comedor/salon-hacia-comedor/148635-1-esl-ES/Salon-hacia-comedor_large.jpg" style="width: 475px; height: 560px;" /><br />The walls were sponge painted. The mirror in the dining room makes it look bigger.<br /><br /><img src="http://www.elmueble.com/var/elmueble/storage/images/casas/pocos-metros/aire-frances-en-la-montana/un-cubrerradiador-en-blanco/galeria-distribuidor/distribuidor/148714-1-esl-ES/Distribuidor_large.jpg" style="width: 478px; height: 564px;" /><br />On the landing a custom radiator cover with a narrow shelf on top was painted white. Nice way to hide it.<br /><br /><img src="http://www.elmueble.com/var/elmueble/storage/images/casas/pocos-metros/aire-frances-en-la-montana/una-paleta-calida/galeria-dormitorio-juvenil/dormitorio-juvenil-hacia-ventana/148726-1-esl-ES/Dormitorio-juvenil-hacia-ventana_large.jpg" style="width: 477px; height: 561px;" /><br /><br /><br /><img src="http://www.elmueble.com/var/elmueble/storage/images/casas/pocos-metros/aire-frances-en-la-montana/un-cabecero-con-vistas/galeria-dormitorio/dormitorio-hacia-cabecero/149026-1-esl-ES/Dormitorio-hacia-cabecero_large.jpg" style="width: 477px; height: 561px;" /><br />The master bedroom is up in the attic.<br /><br /><img src="http://www.elmueble.com/var/elmueble/storage/images/casas/pocos-metros/aire-frances-en-la-montana/un-cabecero-con-vistas/galeria-dormitorio/zona-de-estar-dormitorio/149082-1-esl-ES/Zona-de-estar-dormitorio_large.jpg" style="width: 478px; height: 563px;" /><br />A small sitting area on the other side of the master bedroom.<br /><br />All images from <a href="http://www.elmueble.com/">here</a>.

Elegance in LA

Isn't it nice to tour houses? Today you are invited to visit this home in Los Angeles, California. Interior designer Joan Behnke was called on to decorate it. Let me know what you think.<br /><br /><a href="http://www.traditionalhome.com/images/img_elegantcomfortablelg_ss2.jpg" target="_blank"><img border="0" src="http://www.traditionalhome.com/images/img_elegantcomfortable_ss2.jpg" style="width: 503px; height: 698px;" /></a><br />Formal entyway with a winding staircase.<br /><br /><a href="http://www.traditionalhome.com/images/img_elegantcomfortablelg_ss3.jpg" target="_blank"><img border="0" src="http://www.traditionalhome.com/images/img_elegantcomfortable_ss3.jpg" style="width: 503px; height: 393px;" /></a><br />Formal entry and hallway with refined millwork.<br /><br /><a href="http://www.traditionalhome.com/images/img_elegantcomfortablelg_ss4.jpg" target="_blank"><img border="0" src="http://www.traditionalhome.com/images/img_elegantcomfortable_ss4.jpg" style="width: 503px; height: 413px;" /></a><br />The homeowner is a sculptor; her bronzes are displayed on a coffee table and on the mantel.<br /><br /><a href="http://www.traditionalhome.com/images/img_elegantcomfortablelg_ss5.jpg" target="_blank"><img border="0" src="http://www.traditionalhome.com/images/img_elegantcomfortable_ss5.jpg" style="width: 503px; height: 376px;" /></a><br />The dining room's damask draperies hang heavy with a weighty lining. A mahogany Chippendale-style table in a high-wax finish is rendered less formal by the striped backing on the chairs. Holiday House in Cantabria

I had some trouble trying to upload some pics today in my previous post. I still haven't figured out what happened and why the pics wouldn't show so I'm here again with a new post. At least one of you (anonymous) was mad at me so I apologize once again. I left the link of Margot Austin's portfolio in the post below if you'd like to go straight to her site and have a look at her lovely work.<br /><br />And now let's go to Cantabria in Spain and browse through this holiday house which belongs to a couple with five children. Easy to clean furniture and a modern rustic style define this home.<br /><br /><br /><img name="foto" src="http://www.micasarevista.com/casas/campo/campo20/campo20_1g.jpg" /><br /><br /><img name="foto" src="http://www.micasarevista.com/casas/campo/campo20/campo20_2g.jpg" /><br /><br /><img name="foto" src="http://www.micasarevista.com/casas/campo/campo20/campo20_4g.jpg" /><br /><br /><img name="foto" src="http://www.micasarevista.com/casas/campo/campo20/campo20_5g.jpg" /><br /><br /><br /><img name="foto" src="http://www.micasarevista.com/casas/campo/campo20/campo20_6g.jpg" /><br /><br /><img name="foto" src="http://www.micasarevista.com/casas/campo/campo20/campo20_7g.jpg" /><br /><br /><img name="foto" src="http://www.micasarevista.com/casas/campo/campo20/campo20_8g.jpg" /><br /><br /><img name="foto" src="http://www.micasarevista.com/casas/campo/campo20/campo20_9g.jpg" /><br /><br /><img name="foto" src="http://www.micasarevista.com/casas/campo/campo20/campo20_10g.jpg" /><br /><br /><img name="foto" src="http://www.micasarevista.com/casas/campo/campo20/campo20_11g.jpg" /><br /><br /><img name="foto" src="http://www.micasarevista.com/casas/campo/campo20/campo20_12g.jpg" /><br /><br />All images from <a href="http://www.micasarevista.com/">here</a>.
